Hypoid gears have complicated geometry structure. Through the theory analysis in the process of the tooth surface performed, the paper acquired 3D simulative model which can be used in CAE\CAM for analysis and manufacture. Then the paper verify the model's intensity using the finite element method.At first, the parameter formula of the first and the second class to the curved space plane is calculated, and from it, the relative curvature is gained. then, On the basis of design demand, The paper design the gear's basic parameter .based In the process of the hypoid gear manufacturing,some questions sometimes occurs,such as the difficulties of design and adjustment. This thesis proposed "HFTM Method", this method means machining the member gear with "Formate Method", and member pinion with "Tilt cutter and Modified roll".For this method, the thesis deducted the theory inferential reasoning and the experimental study, the mathematics model to the process of the machine tool's working is also established, and from the cutting process, we can acquired the cutting tools parameter and the parameter for the machine tool between the two gear plane. The gear surface equation is constructed, and based on the parameter design to flank and machine tool adjusted, The author structured the 3D simulative model for the Hypoid gear. Then the paper do the LTCA of the model using the finite element software ANSYS. In addition, the paper compare the analytical result with the result which is calculated, this verify that the Hypoid gear can meet the transmission demand .
