With the rapid development of China's automobile industry,higher requirements are put forward for the comfort and reliability of automobiles.Hypoid gears processed by continuous indexing face-hobbing(FH)are widely used in automobile drive axle,and their strength and dynamic performance are crucial to the reliability and stability of the whole vehicle.Therefore,it is of great significance to study the advanced design and manufacturing technology of driving axle FH hypoid gear.This paper conducts research from the following aspects:(1)FH hypoid gear cutting simulation and tooth surface modeling.Through the analysis of the entire machining process of FH hypoid gears,the relative motion model between the blade and the cutter head,the cutter head and the imaging shaping gear,and the imaginary shaping gear and the workpiece is established.Through coordinate transformation,the tooth surface model of large and pinion is obtained.This laid the foundation for the subsequent Tooth Contact Analysis(TCA)and tooth surface design.(2)FH hypoid gear meshing contact simulation.Two numerical simulation methods for tooth surface contact simulation based on numerical iteration are proposed.The calculation of the instantaneous contact ellipse avoids the complicated calculation of the derivation of the principal curvature and principal direction,and the contact ellipse boundary,the instantaneous contact line and the contact pattern of the entire tooth surface were verified by Abaqus software.(3)Sensitivity analysis of FH hypoid gear tooth surface error.The system analyzes the sensitivity of the tooth surface error to the changes of the cutter and cutter head parameters and the setting parameters of the machine tool.Degree coefficient matrix to take into account the calculation efficiency and accuracy of solving gear machining parameters.(4)FH hypoid gear paired tooth surface ease-off design.First of all,according to the principle of development,the gear rotation angle replaces the transmission relationship when there is no transmission error with a preset transmission error curve,and the auxiliary tooth surface of the pinion can be obtained.Then the three-paragraph combination curve of the two paraboloids is combined,and the auxiliary tooth surface of the pinion is modified by this to obtain the target tooth surface of the pinion.Finally,the target tooth surface parameter of the pinion is subtracted from the theoretical tooth surface parameter to obtain the tooth surface error,and the tooth surface error matrix equation is solved to obtain the pinion machining parameter adjustmentThis method provides a reference for actively controlling the transmission performance of complex toothed gears in the design stage.
