Study On Evacuation Design Of Stadium And Gymnasium-As A Part Of Architectural Design

In the stadium and gym's architectural design, the evacuation design is also an important part. With the rapid development of the stadium and gym, the evacuation design of stadium and gym has caught more and more attention from experts of this field. The evacuation design involves many technical things, such as construction, equipment, structure and other things, but this thesis emphasizes on construction factors on the evacuation of the stadium and gym.In this thesis, firstly, by analysing the characteristics of the evacuation design of the stadium and gym, the necessity of the research was put forward. Secondly,from two parts—buildings' inner part and outer part—the design approaches ofthe evacuation are analysed. Thirdly, an investigation in the form of questionnaire is conducted, which aims to find out the practical conditions and spectators' evaluationof evacuation of three sports buildings—the Shanghai Gymnasium, the ShanghaiQizhong Tennis Center, and the Shanghai Stadium. Then, by combining my own observation and statistical analysis, the evacuation problems which are existing in the three sports buildings are brought forward. Finally, some suggestions and strategies that are helpful to relieve these problems are concluded.I hope, by doing research on the evacuation of the stadium and gym, I can make contribution to the 2008 Beijing Olympic Games. And if the study can be used as reference in evacuation design of stadium and gym in future days, I will be very happy.
