Various contract problems exist in practical engineering. In this paper, starting with the classical method of elastic mechanics, we only consider one of the two tangent objects, and make the forces between the two tangent objects act on it as voluntary active loads. On the other hand, the object idealized as elastic semi-infinite plane or body. So we can obtain the distributing of stress and displacement in the elastic semi-infinite plane or body resulting with the concentrated vertical and horizontal load solely. For other kinds of distributing load, the solution can be obtained by adding the integral results of the former concentrated forces. At the same time, we discussed the classical method of elastic mechanics, and some expressions based on Hertz contact theories. In addition, we discussed the mechanism of gliding and rolling of elastic mechanics. After that, we introduced idea and method of gliding and rolling contact.We consulted lots of literatures, reviewed and summarized all kinds of numerical methods. Including finite elements method, clearance elements method, Boundary Finite Element Method, mathematical programming method, and we still introduced their ideas, methods and applicability,moreover recommend their improvements and development in resent years.At the same time,some special methods are also introduced ,which are suitable for particular conditions.Joggling contact of gears is a kind of classic tangent problem. we use ADAMS(a kind of multi-body dynamics analysis software) to analyze the joggling contact of gears. We set up the accurate model and set parameters base on Hertz contact theories. And we still give dynamic simulation of joggling contact of gears and dynamic tangent force.Base on a practical engineering, we designed a membrane structure with. steel framework. Including selecting and adjusting of pre-strain, form-finding, model setting of steel framework and input node force of membrane elements. We also designed the embedded parts , pedestal and joints.
