Hangzhou as one of the Chinese modern age edge cities , the progress of the city modern age turns and the reception of the constructs to the western architectures was oppositelly fall behind. The historical development of the city has the influence on and made roughly the city building activities all the time, but the development of the activity to also reflected the historical development of the city progress and the process that how people started to accept to the western culture, western modern age life style very clearly, however building can be cloned , but the culture can not be duplicated. the modern architecture of Hangzhou own its the oneself possess singly of special features.By means of investigating and checking the histroy data, taking the photos of the mordern architectures that are still existing in Hangzhou, and placing Hangzhou in the background of the whole development of Chinese mordern architecture, and comparing with Shanghai, Tienjin and Hankow which were the main cities of mordern China, and analyse the influence on Hangzhou modern age building by Shanghai, and made with the place of the different and similar of the development of the building to expatiate with analyze in the modern age city. then the paper explore the specificity of the development of mordern architecture during the year of 1840 to 1949 in Hangzhou, and analyse the three " Eclecticism" architecture type: Sino-west Eclecticism ,Western-Chinese Eclecticism and Western face of Hangzhou.
