The Research To Urban Development And Heritage Protection Of Lijiang City

Urban development and heritage protection both are the important tasks, especially for the urban profound historical process. There are numerous historical and cultural cities in our country, and most of them are currently in their rapid growth period. Land development is more extensive outward expansion and the property development activities also highly frequent. At the same time, tourism which aims at the historical and cultural heritage is a major activity for the same rise. In the background, the integration work of urban development and heritage protection shows urgency and necessity.Lijiang is the main research city in our paper. Firstly, we compiled information related construction and development of Lijiang city for more than last ten years, and summed up the main line, and then theoretical analysis are from two sides which are urban development and heritage protection. At the same time, basted on the contrast to the practice of urban construction and environmental protection, we sum up the pros and cons which lead to strategy discussions on the development of our country and the protection of ideas. Eventually, the paper made a number of development strategies lined with local needs of Lijiang city.This paper is divided into three parts.The first one is the present situation part which briefly introduces the development and the protection condition of Lijiang city, and this part is the fundamental research. The scond one is the theory part which is divide into twoaspects------the urban development and heritage protection, but they both stress on therelated aspect. The last one is the practice part which comments on established and implemented urban planning and compares Lijiang with other similar city. We propose that it is important to unite the development and the protection into one system in the future.
