With the development of our country society and economy . Small-sizedhollow Concrete Block (SHCB) is one of primary walling materials. In resentyears, it is used more and more widely. But Beijing city is in seismic regionsof intensity 8 , Block masonry is limited of the height and floor number ofstructure, So SHCB is urgently asked to be used in the middle-level andhigh-rise buildings.Four major factors of the shear capacity are listed as following : verticalstress , constructional column , core column and horizontal steel , The paperdesigns 9 full-sized experimental walling , all of which is full-sized models ,and carries out the experiment of 6 specimens under the low-cyclic loading .The damage process and pattern of shear walls , crack loading , utmostloading , transmutation and ductility are studied, stiffness , measurement ofenergy dissipation and restoring force model . Influence of the location andnumber of the constructional column , core column and horizontal steel to theshear capacity is analyzed .From the experimental results , we can drawed the following conclusion:Logical setting of the constructional column , core column and horizontalsteel can enhance the shear capacity obviously , Different schemes ofconstructional column have an obvious influence to damage process andpattern , The boundary column restraint to masonry cracks . The dowel actionof the middle constructional column and core columns enhance the shearcapacity and improve the seismic behaviors . The characteristic of restoringforce may be expressed in the model of "Four Segments of Lines of RigidtyDegeneration" .According to seismic criterion and previous study , the Calculatingformula of shear capacity of masonry wall in accord with the failuremechanism in the pattern of shear-friction is proposed . With the regressanalysis , we get the formula parameters , and offer bases for SHCB Beijingregional regulations .
