Transient stability analysis is an important part of Security analysis of Power System. Based on the summarization of previous work, this dissertation conducts systematical research work on the on-line transient stability analysis and control strategy.The key of on-line Power System Transient Stability Analysis is to solve the contradiction between computing velocity and computing precision. The direct method is fast and is able to give quantitative analysis, but compared with the time simulation method it is difficultly to deal with the various models, veracity and reliability. While the Time simulation method is too slow because of considering complex models. Based on the advantages and disadvantages and adaptabilities of the two methods, firstly the direct method is used to compute the stability degree. Secondly the most serious faults which is ordered by stability degree are analyzed with time simulation method considering detailed model. A mathematical model for load-shedding and generator-shedding is established to maintain transient stability. Load-shedding and generator-shedding algorithm is presented. A framework for on-line transient stability analysis and control strategy is put forward. The above mode of on-line stability Analysis is applied in Gansu Power Grid, and better results are achieved.
