Manufactuing is cornerstone industry of the national economy, and it's the industry which takes manufacturing technology as dominant technology for production manufacturing, it has become the symptoms of industrialization of the country by its developed and advanced level. Along with the rapid development of science technology and increasingly fierce competition in the market, requirement for new products is diversifying, the time of design and production cycle is becoming more and more short, and manufacturing has began to develop towards the direction of small batch and variety of rapid production. The forming of trend is close with development level of advanced manufacturing tenology. More and more corporations begin to put massive human, materials and financial resource into research and implementation strategies of advanced manufacturing technology and advanced manufacturing mode.Manufacturing in the 21st century is based on information oriented, and it's new industry that adopts advanced manufacturing mode, advanced manufacturing system, advanced manufacturing technology and advanced forms of organization and management, which is characterized by globalized, the internet, virtual, intelligent, integrated and coordinated environmental green manufacturing.Integration is the developing method of advanced manufacturing technology, and also as an important feature of synthesis automation. Integration will play a role in that can change a number of primary independent unit systems into one new system with coordinating work and much more stronger fuction than before. Integration is not simple link, but achieved by optimizing and regrouping after unifying plan, analyzing function of primary unit systems and relation between them. The purpose of integration is to carry out function integration of manufacturing coporations, and function integration will turn to technology integration of modern management technology, computer technology, automation technology and information technology for help, emphasize integration of people in the mean time. Because it is impossible that there are no people in the system, the effect of running system relates to ideas of enterprise management, operating mechanism, management mode and people, and we do not only make integration of technology, but also emphasize integration of management and people.With comprehensive popularization and application of various advanced manufacturing technology in the manufacturing industry, universal or special system softwares appear correspondingly. Although application of single software can improve the level and efficiency of design, the independent relations exsit in these softwares and it is not good to carry out share and transmission among them, and then, comes into being a good many isolated information islands, so the systems can not make full use of their advantages. How to integrate these systems by different purposes, utilize uniform data format to transfer and convert imformation, make sure that information can flow expeditly in the interior of integrated system, and coordinate these children-systems to running with high efficiency, all above questions have turned into most important issues for advanced manufacturing technology to face.Aiming at those above issues appeared in development of advanced manufacturing technology, my tutor-Pro.SongYuquan suggests innovativly: associating closely with construction condition and equipment configuration of Superplasticity and Plasticity Insititute of Jilin University, then to establish better integrated manufacturing system, and to apply various advanced manufacturing technology (such as reverse engineering, numerical simulation, rapid prototyping and NC processing of mould, etc) into integrated system, so as to provide overall system which can cover process of R&D of products, design and manufacturing of mould, setting technics.In this paper, we introduce domestic and international studies at present on various advanced manufacturing technology and integrated systems firstly, analyze data forms and integration quomodos of those systems, then associate with actual construction of institute, and then we select children-systems and establish overall integrated system concretely. Finally, we introduce detailedly that integrated system apply in powder forming technics of gear, so as to validate that integrated system can play great role in rapid development of powder metallurgy products, design of pressing mould and setting of pressing technics. In the paper, we have done work as follows: gear part is 3D digitalized, and reconstruction of gear model in CAD system; design and calculation of pressing mould, 3D modeling of pressing mould by Pro/Engineer; making use of finite element analysis software to simulate pressing process of gear's powder forming; making sample of pressing mould or part with RP technology in order to observe characteristic of the solid intutionisticly. Meanwhile, we can do design certification, manufacturing test, assembling test and take the models as warrant for improving mould design. We can finish NC programmes rapidly in CAM system, and utilize CNC equipment to manufacture pressing mould we need.Finally, we will compare powder forming technics that applies integrated system with traditional powder forming technics in some aspects as follows: design of powder products, pressing mould and setting pressing technics, etc. And then, we can make a conclusion that the former plays a great important role in acquiring products information roundly and rapidly, reducing low efficiency and repeated work, debasing cost of products, enhancing design quality of products and responding rapidly to market requirement.Because the work we have done in the paper is confined by institute's construction, and it's only the elementary R&D for integrated system, there will be a lot of profound and successive work to be done in order to put this process into practice.
