Belt conveyor is annular delivery mechanism which has continuous motion, it is the main equipment of continuous transport scatter material in modern times, it structural is simple, the price is low, the conveying distance is long and has too high output capacity. Belt conveyor is used in abroad industrial field, for example metallurgy,mine,power station and harbor etc. Along with the development of the modern industry and technology, belt conveyor is more and more important in modern industry, and has important effect in industrial mechanization. Therefore, develop a set of software system to design,compute and analysis belt conveyor looks very necessary.This dissertation uses advanced design method to roundly design and analyze belt conveyor, engage for advanced and design quality of this manufacture; Use the computer's strong ability characteristic of processing data, speed up the product rate of development, enhance the design and calculation accuracy, reduce the designer's intensity of labour and the product design cost, quicken the belt conveyor promotion and application in our country.This software system uses general design method of belt conveyor, through visualization interface communicate with user. First, we carry through analysis for belt conveyor under different operating conditions, and selecting and computing for different layout form, that made us get design and computing process of whole belt conveyor. During design calculation, based on user needs, it can import and select initial parameter and belt conveyor. Using computer to complete a great deal of important and multifarious computing,check…etc, such as conveyer belt's width, least tension,all kinds of resistance,point-by-point computation for tension,motor power computing and prove for conveyer belt. It can consumedly reduce design time. Using this program can make designer be divorced from design data,design handbook, on computer, to complete whole work of general belt conveyor.Recently,along with industry and technical development, the belt conveyor adopt large volume,long distance,high belt speed to transport bulk pack material become developmental mainstream. But the traditional design method can't fill mainframe belt conveyor already, large belt conveyor had lot of tension device question and conveyor folded accidents at home and abroad. so we had to adopt dynamic design method to design the large belt conveyor. This paper is research on the dynamic design problem of belt conveyor.(1) Adopt discrete finite element model to establish the start-up and break process dynamic model of belt conveyor. This model considers the viscous character of conveyor belt; movement resistance of conveyor and the parameters have effects on movement synthetically. The method it adopts is: made up the dynamic model of the conveyor belt unit, take-up equipment unit, drive equipment unit and break equipment unit. Gain the dynamic mechanical model of the normal-type belt conveyor system. This model can express as all kinds of arranged belt conveyor system.(2) Use Wilsonθmethod which can keep steady irrationally to solve the belt conveyor dynamic problem, bring forward dynamics converse problem solution of based on track power control method, This method adapt to the dynamic design of controllable start-up conveyor system;(3) Give out the determinate method of the parameters of dynamic equation, the contrast has analyzed the triangle acceleration and the trapezoidal acceleration start way, utilization large-scale analysis software Matlab to carry on the dynamic performance analysis and simulation of control the start process.
