Initiative And Passiveness-New Exploration Of Linear City's Development In Eastern Region Of Northwest China

Because of the restriction from natural conditions, there are many linear cities in the eastern region of northwest China. However, the planning and construction of these cities are lack of understanding and considering of the linear this special space structure, the layout of these cities are usually a subconscious following the landform and hypsography, haven't actively consider the development of city with linear city's characteristics together, namely the planning and construction of linear cities in the eastern region of northwest China is very passive. And, at present internal study of these cities is little. So learn theories of linear city, think seriously about the characteristics of the formation and development of linear cities in the eastern region of northwest China, open out the passive of city development, scooping out city development potential, consider the problems solving in these cities' development together with special linear city space structure, and reverse passive situation as maximum as possible, is very important to the healthy development of linear cities in eastern region of northwest China and complementarity of urban space structure and morphology theories.The thesis is mainly made up of two parts, one is the research on theories and practice of linear city , the other is active investigate in the development of linear cities in the eastern region of northwest China.Research on theories and practice of linear city, firstly looks back the urban space structure and morphology theories, and then sum up the experience and precept of linear city's theories and practices, to be the reference for following study.Active exploration of linear city's development in eastern region of northwest china is considered with the typical examples like LanZhou, BaoJi, TongChuan and ShenMu. At first, the author classify the influence factors of development of linear cities in eastern region of northwest China into two groups to be analyzed, one is confinement factor, the other is stimulative factor, and opens out the passivity clearly of city development, discovers the potential of city, make ti to be the base of following study. After that, the author analyses industrial structure of linear cities in eastern region of northwest China, and puts forward adjustment ideas to the problems that simplex industrial structure and high heavy industry ratio with of most linear cities in eastern region of northwest China. Following that, the author analyses and study the characteristics of formation and development of the urban space structure and layout, and points out the development stage of space structure and layout in which these cities are, sums up space structure type, component parts and advantages of layout. Basing on the analysis and study above, the author gives an exploratory thinking about industrial structure adjustment, planning of urban space structure and layout of ShenMu.At last, the thesis according to the research of preceding paragraphs, combining the present condition characteristics of development of linear cities in eastern region of northwest china, puts forward exploratory idea about the development of linear cities in eastern region of northwest China from industrial development, evolvement of space structure and layout.
