Research On The Protection And Reinforcement Of The Hongshixia Cliff Carving

As one of the four great ancient civilizations, China stored a lot of the cultural relics and historic sites in endless history long-river. These cultural relics and historic sites recorded the human progress of civilization development and condensed wisdom of the laboring people. Cliff carving is one exotic flower among them, it has rich history connotation and artistic value, it is a precious human being cultural heritage and is also important tour resource at the same time. Now more than 250 places in our country exist cliff carving. Many of them are listed as the national grade, the province level protection. Because of the exposure in the nature and the effect from many factors, cliff carving has various damages. For making cliff caring long, it is very important to research on the cause and law of the damages and the technology of the protection.This paper combines the project of protection and reinforcement in the Hongshixia cliff carving. Through earlier period cultural relic archaeology investigation and engineering geology reconnaissance, we determine the main existence damages and analyze the produces cause and developing law of the damages. Through study on test and theory analyses we conform the schemes of protection and apply them to Hongshixia cliff carving. The method of analyses and the technology of the protection in this paper have model significance.
