Research On The Integral Conservation And Exhibition Of Cliff Inscriptions With Settings In The Taishan Mountain,World Heritage Site

With its long history,China has abundant cultural heritage resources.However,the existing cultural heritage conservation depends more on the cultural relic protection system in our country.It emphasis on the value of the cultural heritage entity too much,ignoring the integrity of entity and its environment.Therefore,it is indispensable how to protect and exhibit the cultural heritage on theoretical research and planning practices.As an excellent representative of world heritage sites in China,the Taishan Mountain has varied and considerable cultural heritage resources.The cliff inscription is a combine carrier with beautiful natural scenery and humanistic feelings and it s an integral part of the cultural heritage.But it has paid too much attention to the entity how to protect cliff inscriptions in the Taishan Mountain.The relationship between the cliff inscriptions and their settings is neglected.At the same time the display method is also relatively backward.So the research is imperative on the integral conservation and exhibition of cliff Inscriptions with settings in the Taishan Mountain.In this paper,I chosed 721 cliff inscriptions of Taishan Mountain as the research object.I analyzed their temporal distribution,calligraphy type,record content and spatial distribution and summed up the long history value,rich cultural value and unique landscape value of cliff inscriptions in Taishan Mountain.In the maentime,cliff inscriptions are carrying outstanding universal value of Taishan Mountain cultural heritage.Then based on relationship between cliff inscriptions and their settings,I concluded two types.One is the entitative cliff inscription that consider stones as entity and their settings can foil the creation connotation of cliff inscription.The other is the reminding cliff inscription that can convey the surrounding atmosphere and artistic conception of natural beauty through the cliff words.Then,I analyzed the present situation of cliff inscriptons' conservation,exhibition and management and summed up the key problems.On account of the research of other types of cultural heritage' setting(eg.architecture,historical block,historical and cultural city),I made the principle of conservation and exhibition from the basic concept,value identification,classification,conservation and reasonable exhibition.Finally,I put forward the advice on the integral conservation and exhibition of cliff Inscriptions with settings in the Taishan Mountain.“Advice” included the protection of stone entity,the integral conservation of cliff Inscriptions with settings,the display of stone entity,the comprehensive exhibiton of cliff Inscriptions with settings,commentary and education.It stressed the different key point of conservation and exhibition on the entitative cliff inscription and the reminding cliff inscription.In second part of this paper,I used cases to demonstrate how to research and implement “the integral conservation and exhibition of cliff Inscriptions with settings in the Taishan Mountain”.I selected two entitative cliff inscriptions and one reminding cliff inscription.They are the religion cliff inscription of Jingshiyu,the Emperor worship cliff inscription of Daguanfeng and the reminding cliff inscription of Cloud-step bridge.I made these three cliff inscriptions' characteristic analysis,value identification,comprehensive assessment,the present situation analysis.Depended on the advice framework in the third chapter,I provided some recommendations properly on the three cliff inscriptions' conservation and exhibition.
