For RC frame structure, with the increase of strengthening and renovation for existing buildings, the original joints cannot achieve the aim of current standard for earthquake- resistance ,which has more rigid requirement. Storey increase and renovation also need seismic strength-hening of joints. In addition, for new buildings, it often happens that there are not enough or even no Transverse steels. In a word, research for seismic strengthening of joints is a study subject that has an important theoretical significance.Carbon Fiber Reinforced Plastic(CFRP)is an ideal new composite because of its Lightweight,high strength and corrosion resistance. The technology of using Carbon Fiber Reinforce Plastics(CFRP)on strengthening concrete structures is a hot topic in Research and development.In recent years, it has been put into use in the Strengthening of reinforced concrete. The CFS-strengthening technique has attracted many researchers and engineers today in the world. But most of researches focus on the strengthening of beams, columns and boards. On the other hand, they have been put into use in practical engineering in large scale.In this paper ANSYS finite element analyze software is used, Four RC frame exterior joints strengthened by CFRP sheets under reversed cyclic loading were tested.
