The central heating has become one of necessary steps for city modernization in the north of China. With the heating system enlarging gradually, how to control and manage the whole heating system in effective and scientific ways to improve the economic and social benefits has become an important topic which heating supply enterprises need to solve urgently. And the adjustment and control methods of it have also been good topics for heating and control specialists.On the basis of Laboratory-scale heating system control, this paper aims at the research of running adjustment and control methods for District Heating Network, includes:The adjustment and control methods for the small-sized and large-sized Heating Network available at present are thoroughly discussed after analyzing and summarizing in two aspects: need-based heating method and even distribution heating method.It systematically discusses the control strategy based on Genetic Algorithm to District Heating System to adjust the flux. In accordance with the District Heating System having large delay, nonlinear and strong coupling characteristic, this paper presents a nonlinear constrained optimization controller based on Genetic Algorithm, and then also discusses the characteristic and design idea of the controller thoroughly.It introduces the composing of the Laboratory-scale heating system, the design of the real time monitoring software platform and the implementation of the Genetic Algorithm controller in detail. Then applying this controller to the actual control and management of the Laboratory-scale heating system is disscused. By adjusting the flow of the primary pipe network the user's average temperature of the supplying water and return water of secondary pipe network can be controlled. Simulations and experiments' results show that this controller can rationally distributes the flow of the primary pipe network in every substation, make the average temperature of the supplying water and return water tends to be equal. Furthermore, it can make well-proportioned heat distribution in the whole heating network, which improves heating quality and achieves stabilization heating and even distribution heating. Meanwhile, a comfortable living environment can be created in people's daily life.
