Arched-corrugated metal roof, a typical cold-formed light steel structure, is light and economical, and can be constructed rapidly. As a beamless structure, it can be used as both supporting and exterior-protected construction, so it has significant economical and social benefits. With arched-corrugated metal roof widely used in engineering, more attention has been paid to its stability, security and span ability by the civil engineers. However, due to complex stress behavior of arched-corrugated metal roof, domestic and foreign studies of this structure are seriously lagging behind practice, and until now there is not unified analytical and calculational method. Consequently, accidents occur frequently, which greatly hindering the development and popularization of this structure. To improve the stability performance and increase bearing and span capacity of this roof, especially in the condition of the half-span load, this article presents a reinforced or improved form to change the application state in china on the basis of domestic research production of arched-corrugated metal roof. This reinforced or improved form is named arched corrugate sheet-truss unitized roof by rationally adding some arched trusses and longitudinal plan trusses to arched-corrugated metal roof. In this article, the author sets up finite element modals of arched-corrugated metal roof and its improved form by large finite element analysis software ANSYS, and compares the bearing capacity and failure modal of two structures. The details are listed below:1. Systematically reviewing the progress of domestic and foreign research on arched-corrugated metal roof, summarizing the problems in research and application, and presenting a reinforced or improved method to increase its bearing capacity and change the application state.2.As the research on arched corrugate sheet-truss unitized roof is in the initial stage, the specific construction scheme still needs further studies. Therefore, only joints and bearings of the unitized system have been proposed in this paper.3.According to orthogonal test design, the author uses ANSYS software to compare the behaviors of two structures in 30m, 36m, 42m and 45m span with different parameters. Those parameters include ratio of rise to span, thickness of plate, style of truss, sectional dimension, height of truss, distance among truss. Considering the different ways of load distribution, author analyzed 98 types, namely 196 finite element parametric analysis examples. Based on...
