With the application of new material and technology in valves, and the population of Numerical Control equipment, especially the application of Ansys FEA software in the design of valves, the design and manufacturing level of valves made good improvement. However, because of the low design of valves, it can not meet the need of the development of railway. It is a very necessary problem to solve at the present period.This thesis analyzes the developing procedure of the valves of Viscous Oil Tank Car, and lists overseas different valves. Based on which, we adopt advanced technology, develop the product of downloading valve of Viscous Oil Tank Car, all of the work in this thesis are listed as follows:(1) Give the structure of downloading valve of Viscous Oil Tank Car, and utilize the traditional equations and average diameter of the sealing surface calculating the average sealing pressure.(2) Calculating the sealing pressure of floating global valve in the condition of simulated cases by using the FEA software of Ansys.(3) Give the calculating equation of general intensity of the valve body, and check the thickness of valve body by using intensity theory.(4) Analyze the stress of the valve body by using Ansys, which testifies the safe intensity of valve structure.(5) Present the serving case of simulating the tank car in the running condition, and utilizing existing standard and testing equipment, give the tests of reliability and stability in the cases of valve body, sealing, shocking, vibrating and working life.Based on these research, we developed a new type valve named double-open viscous Oil downloading valve of lip-shape sealing structure, and obtained the new patent, whose number is: ZL 00 2 26348.3, which has good effect in practice.
