Application Study On Expressway Porous Asphalt Mixture

With the rapid development of the road construction and the improvement of people's livings standards in China in recent years, the requirements of roads'function become more and more strict. As a result, porous asphalt pavement, with the good surface function of drainage, skid resistance and noise reduction, is being paid more and more attention by road engineer.Based on the porous asphalt test road, the application of porous asphalt mixture to expressway and other questions are researched.Firstly, the choice of raw material is particularly important, and the compatibility of the high viscosity asphalt modifier with the base asphalt must be considered. Then, according to the feature of the test road, such as high temperature and heavy load, the porous asphalt gradation design is determined and the road performance is evaluated. Consequently, the 17km long test road construction is successfully carried out.Secondly, based on the addition of polyester fiber and drowned lime, the impossibility of the application of SBS modified asphalt to porous asphalt is tested, and a suitable substitute for high viscosity porous asphalt mixture is suggested.Finally, the high temperature stability of component construction just as the realistic porous asphalt is tested by the Hamburg wheel track device. Furthermore, the application of two-layer porous asphalt is also researched.
