In recent years the highway construction in China was greatly developed and greatlypromoted the economy around. Transportation and economy work on each other and havemutual benefit. Drainage asphalt pavement, as a kind of environmental friendly pavement,can prevent impoundment in rainy days and reflection of light at night. At the same time, italso has good abrasive resistance and anti-skidding ability can effectively prevent the slipperyof vehicles, improve the safety and feeling of comfortable. It can also lower the temperatureand absorb noises, so it is really promising.In this report, we take infrastructure construction of road building in Tianjin Newecological city starting area, and focus on the material performance, different graduation andthe road performance.For the performance of material, we analysis successful cases of drainage asphaltpavement, both domestic and abroad, together with the request of drainage asphalt pavementin China, we see there are requirements for aggregation and mineral power. For the researchof drainage asphalt pavement, this report shows three different additions , they are SBS, TPSand Sino-TPS. With different amount they have different performances. The outcome showsadding a 15% Sino-TPS of the modified asphalt has better high temperature performance ,low temperature performance and durability.For the design of graduation,this passage will be according to Japan Road Associationand Federal Highway Administration's method and based on the stage filling theory andparticle interfering theory,take interlocked-denseness and stability as the rule to designdrainage asphalt pavement material, adopt Marshall forming and SGC forming respectively,and find out the asphalt aggregate ratio through drainage test and Cantabro test.In the road performance, we analysis the road performance in different ways of formingand three different percent air voids in bituminous mixtures, the outcome shows thatgraduation type has a big influence on the percent air voids in bituminous mixtures ,the biggeris the percent air voids in bituminous mixtures ,the bigger is the permeability of the mixture. When the percent air voids in bituminous mixtures is around 20%, the mixture formed into askeleton- interlocked structure, whose dynamic stability (DS) comes to a climax, at that timeit has best performance for resisting the wheel's pressure. The larger is the index of criticalcurvature strain energy,the better is the performance for low-temperature resistance. When thepercent air voids in bituminous mixtures gets larger, the retained Marshall stability and theretained tensile strength (TSR) become lower.
