Research On File Synchronization System Of Multi-Directory

As a method of maintaining the file data consistency of local file system in distributed environments, file synchronization is one of the key techniques. The researching on file synchronization is very important both theoretically and pratically.Having analysed the present status of file synchronization techniques, the thesis proposes a technique of heterogeneous file synchronization supporting Linux and Windows. This method has the characters of fully heterogeneous, quickly and universality.In this thesis, the design ideas and the realized methods of the file synchronization software system are mainly researched. And the thesis also expounds the princicle of heterogeneous file synchronization system in the aspects of capturing and socket communicating. And it mainly discusses how to capture the changes in Linux file system.The thesis gives the system frame of achieving the file synchronization system. This frame consists of task configuring, capturing and socket communicating. And this thesis provides the details of accomplishing these modules.This system adopts the Client/Server component, is implemented under Windows 2000/XP/2003 and Linux, Visual C++ 6.0 and gcc. The software introduces the method of modularization designing, uses socket communication, the multithreading operation, the frame of Windows Service and Linux deamon to develop the system.At the end of the dissertation, work process and the problems are pointed out.
