Servo system, used widely in various areas, is demanded with the development of modern industrialization. Higher performance of AC servo system is required such as high speed, high precision, high reliability, fine ability to resist the disturbance and robustness. Full digital control can assure the whole system work with the good performance above mentioned. It has become the leading in servo control. The Micro processor DSP with high performance, the intelligent power module (IPM) and the advanced power electronic devices make it possible to realize the full digital control in AC servo system.The Permanent Magnet Synchronous Motor (PMSM) is widely implied as the executive component in servo system. Compared with other motors, the PMSM has many individual features. The paper studies and analyzes the mathematical models of the PMSM and the arithmetic of Space Vector Pules Width Modulation (SVPWM). Simulate by MATLAB, the results of simulation indicates the SVPWM is a better way compared with SPWM.Aiming at the nonlinear system of the PMSM, the paper brings forward the backstepping control based on nonlinear control strategy, which is applied to the position tracking. The way has little designed parameters and it can easy realize. The design rule of backstepping makes the system global asymptotical stabilization with Lyapunov function.The hardware of the system is consisted of TMS320F2812, IPM and other supporting components. TMS320F2812 is the core of the control elements, IPM is the core of the power drive. At last the hardware and the software unified and many experiments are done. The results of the experiments indicate that the system can meet the anticipative purpose.
