Life Cycle Assessment For Environmental Quality Of Residential Community

It will never excessive to emphasize the importance of constructs the harmonious society and harmonious residential environment repeatedly. Understanding the connotation of green residential community comprehensive and profound and formulating a proper standard to evaluate it is the premise to study the residential environment thoroughly.This thesis proposed a guide to promote the evaluative work which will be Omni-directional, contain entire processes and all factors. It means evaluating the environmental condition from cradle to grave of the residential community.According life cycle assessment, this thesis aimed at the environment affected by the residential community during its life cycle, compared with the international environmental performance assessment systems and models for green building and combined with the Chinese situation and green development practice, then, constituted rules and supporting systems of the environment performance assessment system.For this, this thesis studied the different stages completely and placed the life cycle in different levels according the relationship between them. This action will help integrating the work which was irregular and in different domain. For example, CPI in construction stage, AHP and multi-factor models in product stage, LCA in material stage and the management in demolition. Even it will help integrating the environment assessment and the theory of project management, and then controlling the environment quality dynamical.After this, this thesis described the elements and contents of the assessment, then founded the system and procedure according to the system theory, sustainable theory and life cycle assessment theory, meanwhile, discussed the structure, approach and supporting system of the institution.In addition, this thesis researched the applicability of assessment thorough and pointed out that the quality of data and the transparency of assumption was the key factors. The goal of assessment was to help the construction of green community, so this thesis gave some advice to promote it.Naturally, further discussion need to complete as the study continue. So, the assessment for the environment of green residential community is a dynamic procedure.
