Seismic analysis is very important to the safety evaluation of ship lock. Ship lock with double-hinged soleplate, which is developed based on the integral ship lock, is widely applied on silt-sandy foundation and fine-sandy foundation. The research on dynamic interaction between soil and ship locks with double-hinged soleplate is important and necessary. The current status and basic theory including fluctuation theory, structural dynamic equilibrium equation, calculation of self-vibration characters, dynamic solution and earthquake wave import are presented in this paper. The spectrum analysis theories and the temporal analysis theories and their implementation technics in ANSYS are discussed. The structure-soil interaction theory, artificial boundary condition method and especially viscous-spring artificial boundary and its implementation technics in ANSYS are researched. Implementation of the viscous-spring artificial boundary is done by using APDL language in order to simulate infinite soil foundation. Basing on regarding standard gravitational response spectrum and gravitational temporal record as import earthquake wave, the earthquake reaction of the ship lock with double-hinged soleplate is analyzed by response spectrum method and temporal analysis. Self-vibration characters and the dynamic reaction of the structure are also research in this paper.
