The total installed capacity of Xiluodu hydropower station amounts to 12600MW that is 4 times of Ertan station, and its comprehensive technical difficulty is on top of the world. The height of the major building of the hydropower-complex project—a hyperbolic thin-arch dam is 278m, which is largely overstep 200m given by current criterion. It will be one of the highest arch dam when it is finished. The dam opens 7 exterior and 8 deep discharge orifices between the 12th and 19th monolith. Meanwhile, there are 10 diversion bottom orifices located on two different height.To ensure all these orifices finish there preconcerted functions perfectly, we need to collocate adequate reinforcing bars in the concrete around the orifices to limite the crack expansion.Moreover, curve prestressed anchorage cables are applied to eliminate or minish the tensile stress to prevent the cracks appearing on the deep orifice gate blocks.The main research of this paper is to gain the quantity and the form of the reinforcing bars of the three type orifices under the load effect of different work conditions, and to appraise the rationality of layout and design parameter of prestressed anchorage cables.In this paper, we design the reinforcing bars with the tensile stress graphics reinforcement method given by hydraulic concrete structure design criterion (DL/T5057-1996). To obtain the more accurate results of stress near every orifice, the method is advanced that firstly to do the analysis of integral mesh with local mesh encryption, and then remove the orifices part after conducting detailed analysis of the secondary encryption method. Furthermore, derive the stress or displacement boundary condition of partial analysis based on the first analysis result and demonstrate the consistency of these two boundary conditions. While using this method to research a certain type of orifice, the other types of orifice should be simplified in order to use more closely mesh to analyse the attentive orifice in the processing of first analysis under the precondition of satisfying computer memory requirements.
