The technology of remote measurement and control has already been widely used in modern technology, industrial control and national defense etc. Wireless remote measurement and control system is an advanced technology, based on embedded system and wireless communication technology.First, the paper studies the electric control system of large sized track maintenance machinery in detail. Then, aim at its framework, consider about the whole system, we build up a set of remote measurement and control system for large sized track-maintenance machinery, based on embedded technology and GPRS wireless communication technology. Mainly focus on structure of the whole system, hardware and software design of the Onboard Controller, studies and realized GPRS wireless communication system.The system consists of three subsystems: the Onboard Controller System, the Ground Supervision Center, and wireless Communication System. The Onboard Controller accomplishes data collecting, data memorizing, display and transmission. The Ground Supervision Center as data centralize handle equipment, can fulfill data record, data synthesize and send control information. The wireless Communication System provides the communication between the Onboard Controller and the Ground Supervision Center with the GPRS model. The Onboard Controller is an embedded system, ARM7TDMI S3C44B0X CPU has been chosen as main controller. The peripheral circuit of controller has been introduced in detail, for example, how to connect ROM, RAM, A/D, crystal screen. We also extend multi-serials and CAN bus based on S3C44B0X. The serials interface realizes the connection between the Controller and the GPRS module, the CAN bus can realize the communication between the Controller and others units onboard. We useμClinux OS as the base of software system, transplantμClinux OS to S3C44B0X and write the driver of multi-serials. Studied the wireless communication system based onμClinux OS and GPRS technology, realized the function of GPRS wireless communication.At last it summarizes the works of this paper and points out the direction of more studies.
