Ellipsis Recovering Study Of Natural Language In Mechanical Product Design

With the rapid development of network and information technology, the product innovation designing system based on the knowledge will become the mainstream in the new generation of design system. The new generation of product-design system must manifest the basic characteristic: the digitization, the flexibility, the intellectualization, the globalization, and so on. This paper aims at the support shortage of currently traditional CAD system of the product design, having a foothold in the demand of product creative design, and try to apply the natural language understanding (NLU) to the product design, expecting to improve current design system. First the ellipsis phenomenon was researched in this paper ,based on the actuality of ubiquitous ellipsis. Second, this paper compared with the several current knowledge expressions and choosed concept model as the knowledge expression method.In the ellipsis sentences understanding,the ellipsis phenomenon was determined at the semantic analysis,and was realized its recover based on concept , connotation ,extension, concept relations.Finally, introduced the process that the NLU theory applies in the product-design .
