The classical Chinese garden divides into three categories, which are royal gardens, private gardens and temple gardens. The Buddhist temple garden is one of the most important part of the temple garden, and can be seen everywhere. In ancient times, the Buddhist temple garden was even seened as some kind of public garden, and was closely related with the life of ordinary people.There is a huge controversy over Feng-shui theory, but it really exists in our life, and it can be seen as a part of folklore and culture in China. Feng-shui theory is based on thorough observation and practical experience of ancient people. Though mixed with metaphysics and superstition, Feng-shui still played an important part in the site selection and planning of residences, countries, temples and so on in ancient times.Thus the relationship between Feng-shui theory and the Buddhist temple garden is being studied in this paper.
