Today, various portable products have become available due to the explosion of the applications in the wireless communication field. The use of step-up DC/DC converters is necessary in these equipments to convert the battery voltage to the LSI's supply voltage. In this thesis, we designed a current mode control DC/DC boost converter with high power efficiency used in portable products.At first, the DC/DC converter's basic knowledge is introduced: four types'topology structure, voltage mode control and current mode control. Then, describe the designed DC/DC boost converter's system structure, operation principle and pins'function, explicate the OSC module design and slope compensation module design. The OSC provides the system clock signal, it can works under three modes: fixed frequency mode, external clock synchronous mode and idle mode. The slope compensation module produces a compensation voltage which has relationship to input and output voltage, keep the system stable when the duty cycle is more than 50%. At last, after tape-out and package, the chip was tested using PCB. According to the test result, the chip can work well under above three modes, the highest efficiency is 93.2%.
