Researches And Engineering Practice On Maintenance And Strengthening Technique Of Brick And Concrete Buildings

The test and estimation methods used in brick and concrete building were introduced,currently,the methods of maintenance and reinforcement in different position of building were reviewed :The base should be reinforced when hiatus and leaning appeared in building caused in base foundation improvement include foundation frontiers, pier or pile foundation underpinning, foundation improvement and comprehensive strengthening methods. That was adopted in brick wall strengthening such as sprayed concreted or getting additional reinforced concrete column or circle reinforced concrete beam for increasing stability. Cement smear and grouting were adopted in surface hiatus and flaw repair of concrete structure. Those such as section increasing method,steel-bonded reinforcement ,carbon fiber reinforced polymer reinforcement,strengthening with exterior steel and add pillar were adopted in structure reinforcement. The scope of application was analyzed of those different maintenance and reinforcement methods, as well as the designing of structure reinforcement, calculation function. The construction approach and points for attentions were suggested.In reinforcement Engineer of office building water supply company in Guiyang, according to test results, we select those reinforcement methods such as frontiers foundation, the wall strengthening with sprayed concrete, reinforced concrete with CFRP, insert reinforcing bar, add reinforced concrete and circle reinforced concrete beam based on analysis and comparison in technology and economy. No new cracks, non-uniform settlement and leaning appeared after reinforcement.
