The Research Of Type Selection And Evaluating System Of Interchange

Since the first interchange was developed in 1928, grade separations have been used to improve traffic flow. With the development of the expressway system, the use of interchanges became more prevalent as engineers sought to improve flow on new highways. Engineers originally selected an interchange type based solely on the site's physical limitations and forecasted traffic volumes. This paper begins with the classification of interchanges; I studied serviceability conditions assisted in determining the relative advantages and disadvantages of the various interchange types.Traffic volume forecasting at road interchange is a key part of road interchange designing and planning. According to the characteristics of traffic flow at interchange and the volume planning at road network, this paper put forward a new traffic volume forecasting model and established a method on traffic volume assignment. Another study strategic link to level of service was analyzing interchange capacity, etc.The type selection of interchange is an important work of the desk work with implications of its function,cost,landscape,social and economic benefit .This paper discusses the main elements affecting the type selection of interchange in terms of traffic condition,natural environment,social environment and economic benefit,toll collection,traffic safety etc.Then, based on the theory of multiple target decision-making, this paper advances an optimal analysis model of choosing interchange type. It sets up target systems applying the method of hierarchy analysis and prosecutes fuzzy synthetic evaluating.In the end, some suggestions and views are presented for the further study.
