Interchange is an important node for expressway. It is also an important facility forexpressway and other highway to carry on traffic volume’s transformation. The constructionof interchange’s failure and success influence the service level and traffic safety ofexpressway directly. The position of interchange is more important for expressway.Highway construction of Jilin province started very late and developed slowly in theinitial time. Interchange’s design still remains at a relatively simple level. During the periodof "11th Five-Year Plan", a lot of opportunities are promoted by country at northeastindustrial base, Jilin province real on these opportunities. Transportation infrastructure isconstructed fast. The gradual improvement of the highway network, interchange’s design ismore complex and systematization than before. The demand of hub interchange’sconstruction is larger. Because of the road network’s density more large, some hubinterchange need rebuild based on original interchange. For such interchanges rebuildingdesign, safety evaluation and traffic organization carry on depth study is very necessary.This paper based on Kuiyuantun interchange rebuilding construction. Social economicand natural conditions, existing Kuiyuantun interchange condition, the surrounding roadnetwork structure and traffic volume are investigated and studied in this paper. This paperalso forecast the traffic volume of interchange. This paper put forward the way of forecastingtraffic volume and protocol interchange scheme. This paper compares so many schemes fromtraffic circulation, technical and economic indicators, traffic organization and other facts. Thispaper studies the thought of interchange’s rebuilding scheme. Interchange rebuildingconstruction focus on safety evaluation, construction, traffic organization and other facts.According to these, this paper put forward the index of interchange safety evaluation andevaluation method. This paper analyses the safety performance of Kuiyuantun interchange.For example Kuiyuantun interchange, this paper put forward the scheme of construction andtraffic organization which are rational and feasible.
