Boiler's cold and hot tests are the most important experiments for a heat power plant. They are of importance for operators to know a boiler's operating characteristic accurately and duly; to keep fuel combusting high-powered and cleanly; to ensure the security of boiler and operators; to checkup the performance of new unit.However, cold and hot test has some limitations, such as a great amount of workload, difficulty of function adjust, complexity of measure, which leads to many difficulties in obtaining the detail about boiler's parameters. So it is especially important to search a technique, which not only can overcome the limitations but also have practical value for reducing our dependence on test.With the fast development of computer technology and CFD software, boiler's research has been provided a new approach. In the dissertation, according to FLUENT, CFD software, and cold and hot test of boiler, physical and mathematic model and simulation method of HG-220/100-MQ tangentially fired boiler in Yangtse power plant are analyzed and summarized. By using the CFD software, the flow, convection and combustion in the boiler has been simulated and studied.Based on the analysis of the simulation results, the velocity distribution, temperature distribution and track of coal particle is consistent with the test's results. It seems that the above approach is logical and practically value. The physical and mathematical model in this dissertation is befitting and dependable to this simulation, which is satisfied requirement of application to engineering.Studies of this dissertation, offer an assistant measure of boiler's cool and hot test. Meanwhile, they also provide a significant reference basis of combustion adjustment, burner's reconstruct and decrease of the NOX in tangential firing boiler.
