Video signal conversion module is an airborne device of a kind of aircraft,which runs in the fire control system and integrated navigation equipment. It s in charge of receiving the video signal,after be exchanged&transformed,the signal will be transferred to the multi-function display.For the defect of existing test instruments at present in the course of use, a new kind of automatic test system for an airborne video signal conversion module has been designed in this paper.Testing system is developed for testing the whole entity of Video signal conversion module, finding the default location for more accurately diagnosis. Any failure of UUT(unit under test) can be detected and localized to the exact circuit board.Firstly, the working principles of Video signal conversion module,constituted parts and its input/output signals is specified. After that ,system project is come up with. Industrial computer is used as testing platform, based on which testing sub-units is developed, controlling software is designed with LabWindows/CVI. And then,the study and design process of hardware and software are described. Tests show the system is of reliability and stability.
