The research on line loss calculation, analysis and lowering is an active field in electric power system. Traditional theoretical loss calculations are mostly off-line, while we study and develop on-line loss analysis and loss-lowering decision-making support system of high-voltage distribution subsystem in area system. This thesis describes the structure, function models and design principles of the system,analyses and introduces the electric power component models in theoretical loss calculation. The flow of on-line theoretical loss calculation is expatiated too. Besides this, we present in detail the line loss analysis of a typical day and statistical loss analysis over a year of HeBi power grid after using our system.The object of loss calculation is not only to calculate and aggregate electric power lost, but also to give technical measure of lowering line loss. We model the low-cost operating analysis of transformer, establish low-cost operating analysis method for electric line and optimization config method for reactive power compensation equipments .Also applications of power grid running are analysed typically.
