Distribution network line loss rate is an important economic index of power supply enterprises. It not only reflects the operation management level of distribution network, but also directly related to the economic efficiency of enterprises. The complexity of the distribution network bring many difficulties to the calculation of line loss rate. Through on line loss calculation method research, it analyzes the theoretical line loss calculation of Jiamusi distribution network, and puts forward the corresponding measures to reduce losses.This paper studies the present situation of line loss calculation, expounds the definition and classification of line loss, and explains the source of the required data. In this paper, the calculation method of the loss of each distribution network element is introduced. The loss calculation methods are introduced in this paper, mainly include the root mean square current method, the average current method, maximum current law, the equivalent resistance method, voltage loss method, electricity, power flow method, and the these kinds of methods were compared. This paper shows the technical factors that affect the calculation of the line; this paper studies the measures of reducing loss of power distribution network, and puts forward a variety of ways to reduce the loss. The 325 east line as an example, line loss calculation, carries on the analysis, and put forward the corresponding measures to reduce losses. In the end, the research on the calculation of the power loss of distribution network and the measures of reducing loss is summarized, and the prospect is given.
