A guiding and practical idea is presented in this paper for the total design and realization of advanced analysis software for transmission and distribution network. By this idea, a graphic-interface-based advanced analysis software for editing and running is developed and a series of reusable components are designed, which includes the network topology, power flow and state estimation.For network topology, a two-level analysis mode--nodal topology and island topology is presented. A high-efficient and fast node-numbering optimization method is introduced. The initial check methods for structure and measurement are given. Much improvement is made for power flow and state estimation. For example, The nonlinear item equations for polar-axis-based Newton-Raphson's method and decoupled P-Q method are given for the optimal multiplier method. A simple and efficient distributed method for real-time measurement is presented for the analysis of observability and identifiability. For bad data identification, the estimation-identification and zero-error-identification method is combined and cycling identification strategy is adopted, too.
