The thesis is a part of the project of developing MW-level Wind Energy Conversion System which is a key 863 program. It is mainly about the research on multiple boost converter of 1.2MW permanent-magnet synchronous wind power generation system.The thesis firstly presents the emergency and necessity of wind power generation. Then the paper explains the structure of the1.2MW permanent-magnet synchronous wind energy converter system and its operating principle, and discusses the basic working principle of boost converter and deduces the ripple relationship of the boost circuit, two-multiple boost circuit and three-multiple boost circuit in detail. Besides, the thesis summarizes the familiar control strategies of boost converter and simply explains the selection of main circuit parameters and control strategy.The thesis develops low power three-multiple boost converter experiment, presents the detail of hardware design of the control circuit and the software design. The experiment includes comparison between boost circuit and three-multiple boost circuit, the comparison between open control and close control of the circuit, comparison between average control and instantaneous control, and the dynamic response experiment as well.In the end, the thesis shows the simulation of 1.2MW wind generation converter system. The simulations mainly consist of the rectifier, the boost converter and the inverter. The thesis presents some of the simulation circuits, important circuit parameters and does some necessary analysis. In addition, the thesis present a novel three level boost converter, aiming to adapt with the wind generation develop tendency. Detail analysis of its working principle and simulation result are given.
