The distribution of oil film pressure is one of the basic parameters of journal bearing. It can be obtained through solving Reynolds equation. In the majority situation, the pressure of oil film is unable to get extract and precise analytic solution and must be approximate in physics and mathematics. Therefore, the pressure distribution of computation, as well as other important parameters influenced by the pressure distribution, like the oil current capacity, the oil film rigidity, the oil film damping and so on, still could not completely reflect the actual situation. For studying the pressure distribution under the new operating mode and the bearing structure, confirming the accuracy of fundamental research through the experimental method, it is necessary to study the test measuring technique of the pressure distribution of journal bearing.This article goal is to develop a suit of test equipment for the measurement of oil film pressure of journal bearing. Through the consulting partial literature and investigating, author has researched into the existing partial journal bearing test platform and proposed overall design plan of the test equipment. In this article, important parts and systems of the mechanism and the test system have been elaborated. In test bearing design, because the multi-oil wedges bearing has the characteristic of high rotation precision, bigger rigidity and damping, high speed stability, this article has selected a kind of new three oil wedges spiral journal bearing. In current collector selection and design, author gave up the traditional electronics brush contact type current collector, and selected the infrared non-contact type current collector, eliminated the influence of the contact resistance. In data gathering, analysis and processing, the existing specialized test analysis software has been used.After installing and debugging, oil film pressure of three oil wedges spiral journal bearing has been measured in this test equipment. The test results show that the construction of test equipment is reasonable, the data gathering system is reliable and stable. This suit of test equipment basically meets the requirements of anticipated design. It is certain practical meaningful to improve the teaching experiment of journal bearing, specially to confirm the fundamental research results of spiral oil wedge journal bearing and also to analyze each kind of factors influence.
