Experimental research is an important way to study the lubrication performance of radial journal bearings.In the actual application process of the radial journal bearings,due to load,axial force and shock,the journal in the bearing will misalignment and reciprocate along the axis of the bearing.Therefore,it is very important to study the influence of axial movement of misaligned journal on the lubrication performance of journal bearings by experimental research.Based on consideration of misalignment and axial movement of the journal,the comprehensive performance test-bed for journal bearings was developed.Firstly,according to the research purpose,the technical targets and functional requirements of the test-bed were put forward,and than the overall scheme of the test-bed was determined.The test-bed consists of main drive system,radial loading system,journal axial motion generation system,lubrication system and test system.The main drive system is the basic system of test-bed,support and drive main shaft operation.Radial loading system is the external load application system of test-bed,apply controllable load to main shaft.Journal axial motion generation system push the main shaft to reciprocate under the specified motion law.Lubrication system provides stable oil supply for journal bearings,ensure that the main friction pair is fully lubricated.The test system mainly collects and stores the status parameters(main shaft speed,axial displacement,radial load)of test-bed and the lubrication performance parameters(oil film pressure,film thickness,temperature)of journal bearings in real time.Because of the high test accuracy and masses of parameters of test-bed,the sensor installation layout has been specially designed.After detailed design and check of each subsystems,the three-dimensional model of test-bed was established by using UG software,virtual assembly and anti-interference design were carried out.Then,engineering drawings of the important parts was drew,parts processing,assembly and debugging of test-bed were also carried out.Finally,the experimental research was carried out,the main lubrication performance parameters of radial journal bearings were measured under different radial load,rotational speed and coupled axial movement of journals.The results show that the test-bed can meet the functional requirements and the expected technical targets.
