Many roads need to upgrade the road grading with the development of road transport in recent years. Making good use of existing old road and widening its overlay will be able to enhance its road grades or improve road service functions, which is more technical and economic value. It can use less lands and protect environment. In the old roadbed utilization of the overall transformation, the method of dynamic compaction is a simple, economical, time-saving method. But most of the quality control used penetration degrees, and other indicators considered road subgrade compaction standard convergence that is not a degree of compaction with the dynamic compaction control standards.We study mechanism of uneven settlement caused by the construction of highway using the old roadbed, so we can provide guidance recommendations to the reinforcement of foundations and subgrade .we get a scientific and rational development of dynamic construction program with numerical analysis and field test in order to efficiently use the old roadbed to the construction of expressways. We get the embankment reinforcement depth effective formula and the only universal compaction stopping standard, which meet the requirements of China's road construction norms converge and compaction.
