The reinforced concrete is widely used in the civil engineering. There is a great deal of reinforcing bar connection problems in the construction of concrete. Code for Design of Concrete Structures (GB 50010-2002) recommends two kinds of reinforcing bars connection: splice; jointing and machined connection. The splice of reinforcing bar is easily operated and used widely. This paper mainly discusses the splice problems of reinforcing bar in the reinforced concrete beams. The non-contact splice of reinforcing bars means that there is a small distance between the splicing reinforcing bars, and the concrete can bind the reinforcing bar completely. So the theory of non-contact splice is better than that of contact splice. But the research of this aspect is limited now, so it is necessary to work over the non-contact of reinforcing bar .The main contents in this paper is as follow:1. Expatiate some rules in Code for Design of Concrete Structures, which is related to colligation-splice of reinforcing bar. Discuss the theory of the splice of reinforcing bar; and analyse the felt between the reinforcing bar and concrete.2. According to the demand of this paper, I designed five reinforced concrete beams whose tension reinforcing bar is connected differently from others, and carry on experiment. Comparing the experiment result, the working performances of non-contact splice of reinforcing bar in reinforced concrete are studied.3. Analyze the strength and constitutive relations of the concrete, and inquiry into the strength rule of the concrete and finite element analysis model. Detailed elaborate the constitutive relations and destruction criterion of concrete which are used in this paper.4. The finite element analytical principle of ANSYS is introduced and SOLID65 element that useds for concrete is given detailed introduction. Use ANSYS software to carry on five simple beams of reinforced concrete, and compare the results with experiment data. 5. Through researches in two aspects of experiment and the theory, this paper draws the following conclusion: the non-contact splice of reinforcing bar is effective and feasible.
