Because the span-depth ratio is small, the bearing capacity of deep beam is determined by shear resistance which is different with common beam by flexure resistance. However, the essence of shear failure is that the concrete is destroyed by tension along the vertical direction with the crack. As well known, concrete have low tensile strength and the strength is enhanced finitely even web reinforce inside concrete. Along with the development of the high-rise construction, load on the transfer beam raises continuously. It can't meet the demands no longer only to add the beam height.Aim at the above-mentioned problem author launched the discussion, putting forward a kind of steel reinforce concrete deep beam, which steel reinforce is arranged from load point to support place to enhance shear capacity of the deep beam. The main contents are as following:1. In design, four steel reinforce concrete deep beams and one common deep beam are designed, carried on ultimate bearing capacity test under the concentrated load at midspan.2. According to test result of the deformation, the crack development and widths, the strain distribution in concrete, steel bar and steel reinforce, the working principle of steel reinforce concrete deep beam is gotten.3. According to the orthogonal experiment data, the possible optimal configuration is gotten for steel reinforce concrete deep beam.4. The finite element program ANSYS is used to simulate the steel reinforce concrete deep beam. In the simulation, the method of nonlinear analysis are selected to guarantee the accuracy of the simulation. A wide-ranging comparison is carried between the nonlinear finite element analysis and the results of experiment to verify the reliability of the proposed main conclusion.
