While highway construction is booming, highway built in early years have entered the maintaining period, and the quantity of asphalt roads that need to be maintained is increasing annually. As a result, each year a great quantity of old asphalt pavement materials will be produced,which can be recycled instead of being discareded, neglecting technology of asphalt pavement. Cold recycling technology is one of it, which has been very mature abroad, but is young in our country. This paper primary studies the technology of lime flyash-stabilized cold reclaimed asphalt pavement mixture for bases and subbases.Lime flyash-stabilized cold reclaimed asphalt pavement mixture for road bases and subbases belong to cold recycling technology of asphalt pavement. The principle is the reclaimed materials(including old pitch mixture and some lime clay) is reused as subject, and is stabilized by lime flyash,through mixing,compaction and curing, forms bases or subbases,similar to other semi-rigid bases stabilized by lime flyash.Road perfoemence of lime flyash-stabilized cold reclaimed asphalt pavement mixture is studied in the paper by means of indoor experiments. The unconfined compressive strength of two kinds of cold-recycling mixture are tested, and the relationship of compressive strength and age is studied. Furthermore, the water-resisting property,the frost resisting property, the dry shrinkage property and temperature property are investigated. It proves that the road performance of cold-recycling mixture is better than the ordinary semi-rigid material by conteast. The cold in-place recycling constructing technics and machine are also developed in this paper. And this paper demonstrates that the cold-recycling techenique is feasible and applicable by testing project. At last, the paper comprehensively evaluated the benefit of economy and society. Study results indicate that the technology of lime flyash-stabilized cold reclaimed asphalt pavement mixture for base and subbases is a favorable maintainance and reconstruction method for highways, and it will bring inestimable economic, social and environmented benebit.
