| The status of industrialization of housing inland and abroad is introduced firstly in this paper. Combined with the situation of our country, the rapid development of the steel dwelling house in our country is a doubtless thing. Along with the development of the economy of our country and the advancement of architectural technology, the cold-formed thin-wall steel house arises and meets the need of industrialization of housing in our country. Subsequently, the structural system of the cold-formed thin-wall steel house, the load path and the design methods of all the members are introduced in detail. In the same time, the problems of the design of the cold-formed thin-wall steel house which can not be settled in Technical Code of Cold-formed Thin-wall Steel Structures are analyzed in this paper. And the detailed design process of a real project is also provided in this paper. Finally, the main obstacles of the development of the cold-formed thin-wall steel house in our country are discussed in detail.
