Study On Planning And Design Of The Outdoor Leisure & Activity Place In Xi'an City Residential Area

Outdoor entertainment space in residential area is the open place for residents' daily recreation and amusement. They are of great significance in meeting the demands of the residents for daily leisure.With the development of economy in our country and the rising of the urban cultural life, the construction of urban residential area has made great progress and people hope to have living environment of higher quality. Thus, they pay more and more attention to the various functions of the living area. But little attention has been paid to the study and practice of the outdoor leisure place. Hence how to construct the outdoor leisure place in residential area has become the key point in this article.This paper includes three parts concerning the outdoor leisure activities and recreation place for the residents in Xi'an, by means of field survey, questionnaire analysis and literature analysis, based on the research results of urban planning and designing, psychology, environmental ecology and so on. .The first part is the theoretical research, mainly focusing on the relevant theory of the recreational space in residential area in Xi'an, and then is the research into the leisure activity demands, leisure activities in residential area and the features of leisure activity space. The second part involves field survey of the research objects, analysis of the survey results and conclusion of the utility status of the outdoor leisure space and relevant features in Xi'an. And the third part is the designing, by conclusion of the planning principle and designing methods for the outdoor leisure place in the residential area in Xi'an, putting forward some feasible designing strategies and conducting specific designing practice.As the result of research, the paper find out that Outdoor Leisure and Activity Place in Xi'an resident area should be reinforced in aspect of integrality and practicability, meanwhile, it should be integrate with regional characteristic. Only by this way people can create top-quality outdoor leisure place.
