Research On The Intelligent Parking Guidance System

Intelligent Transportation System is an application of advanced information system, data communication system, sensor system electronic control system and computer system in the road transportation system to establish a widespread high efficiency transportation system. The paper analyzed the fundamental construction of the intelligent transportation system based on the analysis on the research carried out in China and abroad. The research work and application of ITS in advanced country was discussed. The necessity to develop ITS in China was presented and some related problem was discussed.The intelligent traffic flow guidance system (ITFGS) supplies the guidance information for the vehicle and pedestrian to get the optimized vehicle distribution with dynamic information. The practical development structure of urban traffic guidance system is designed based on the role of high ratio of property and expense and development according to Chinese traffic characteristics and the practical development. The function, requirement and technique property of construction module were analyzed in detail.Parking Guidance and Information System (PGIS) provides driver the location, parking status, route and relative traffic condition to help him find the proper parking location in high efficiency. The urban parking status and fundamental requirements were analyzed. The construction and function of the PGIS was presented. Some problems about PGIS planning was discussed.
