Nowadays, in the field of electric network planning, there still isn't a data standard, each power institution has its own system, which bring on "information island".So a data standard in this field is needed to express data and common interface criterion is needed to satisfied the data exchange between different systems. The traditional function-oriented methods of development cannot fit in with the complexity and inconstant requirements, the result of analysis and design cannot be reused effectively .By comparison ,object-oriented modeling technique is flexible, reusable and can reduce the risk of development because it makes the complexity and changeability in control. So the object-oriented technique can improve the efficiency of software development. The paper mainly discussed object-oriented modeling technique, compared different object-oriented modeling methods, proposed an effective modeling approach to modeling electric network planning object models: the combination of strategies and patterns and combined with writer's own points, based on strategies and patterns, different object models are divided by Using OOA,OOD,OOP methods. Strategies and patterns is an analysis method, a set of effective suggestions. They made effective communication on professional knowledge possible and improved the whole electric network planning object models development process.ROSE was used to implement object modeling; UML was used to design such object model; MVC technique was used to design and achieve common data interfaces. Based on electric network planning system, those interfaces have been validated effectively. The paper also discussed mapping of object model and data model, ROSE was used to achieve the mapping.
