The Design And Implement Of Municipal Road GIS Data Model

Municipal road as the other municipal facilities' carrier, is the key elements during the Information Construction of Municipal field. The current management of municipal roads mostly used by artificial. In this way , the information degreeand technique level is low, and has been unable to meet the information needs of social development.Therefore, it is the key to construct a GIS system which can manage all the municipal road resources in a scientific way, provide various kinds of inquiry and statistics functions, and realize the workflow and automatization of management and maintenance work, for improving the municipal road management information critical level. Currently.the research has been little done on the data mode! of municipal road. It is very important and urgent for the information construction of Municipal to design a GIS Data Model for Municipal Road.After reviewing GIS data models of Road and its current application combining the characteristics of municipal roads and the demand of management, this dissertation deeply analysises the Municipal Road's characteristics and content, puts forword a GIS data model for municipal road -MRGISDM(Municipal Road GIS Data Model). MRGISDM abstracts municipal road from three levels which is the road, the section of road and road components, and expresses municipal road by the data structure which combined with point, line and polygon.MRGISDM contains concept data model,logic data model and physical data model . concept data model of MRGISDM analyses entity's character and relationship. Logic data model designs logical and geometric representation of entity and relationship; physical data model designs the schema of classification and coding .orgnization of layers,and physical storage structure.This dissertation realize the MRGISDM based on the Geodatabase, take NanJing Municipal Road as the example to build the Municipal Road GIS database ,and develop the archetypical system, the performance of the MRGISDM is tested and analyzed through a set of experiments. The results show that the MRGISDM is feasible and validity through the experiments,such as query.edit, Topology relationship certification.
