In modern warfare, countermeasure is marked by electronic warfare. Stealthy and anti-radar stealthy are in key fields of countermeasure. To study anti-radar stealthy technique, we must make effectual prediction of Radar Cross Section(RCS). With the development of stealth technique, more and more attention is paid to near-field RCS.The paper bases on the project (the National Natural Science Foundation of China: 60301007). First we introduce the concept of RCS and the basic theory of electromagnetic scattering. After a brief survey of some theoretical study methods about near-field scattering characteristic and the meaning for the research of the near-field RCS, two scattering models are established separately considering antenna pattern and doppler frequency-shift using the cell-method. The models base on SCTE high frequency prediction system with the qualification that incidence wave is spherical wave. Then we analyse the object near-field RCS characteristic.In the thesis, the near-field RCS results are compared with other references and the results indicate the method is valid.
