In the modern electronic information war,the information asymmetry that caused by stealth performance is one of the key factors which can determine the victory and defeat of the war.Therefore,to improve the stealth performance of the aircraft has become an issue in many countries all over the world.The radar cross section can quantitatively describe the stealth capability of combat equipment.With the introduction of the concept of opportunistic array radar,the aircraft is required to arrange as many array elements of phased array radar as possible,so that the radar can find the target at any direction in space.And the ensuing aircraft stealth problem needs to be solved urgently,which is to explore the mechanism of the high radiation and low scattering of the phased array radar.This paper studies the problem,and the main work of this thesis can be summarized as follows:1.Based on the study of the structure and principle of frequency selection surface,two single-layer FSS including interdigitation type and convolution type are designed to reduce antenna RCS.The double-layer FSS divided into medium type and air type is studied on the basis of convolution FSS,which further reduces the resistance band width of FSS.The two double-layer FSS achieve a much larger RCS reduction by alternating the antenna floor.2.Based on the intermittent operation of the airborne radar antenna,the PIN diode is loaded between the microstrip antenna metal patch and the floor.Therefore,the antenna RCS can be reduced.When the airborne radar antenna is working,the PIN diode is equivalent to the capacitance by loading reverse bias voltage to ensure the normal radiation of antenna.When the airborne radar antenna is not working,the PIN diode is equivalent to the resistance by loading forward voltage.Antenna RCS reduction is achieved by the resistance dissipating the induced electric field energy.3.The PIN diode loading technology is applied to the antenna array,which reduces the antenna array RCS.With 1 * 10 antenna array as the research object,the packet loading method and the overall loading method are discussed respectively.The actual measurement results in microwave anechoic chamber prove the effectiveness of this method for RCS reduction of antenna array.
